Manager – Finishing and Packaging


Reporting to Director – Printing and Business Development, the purpose of the job involves overseeing the setting up and operation of the packaging and finishing equipment in the printing press.


  •  Production of the packaging plan and forwarding it to Senior Management
  • Implementation of the production plan
  • Adherence to quality control standards.
  • Provide quantities of material to be packaged.
  • Allocation of stock to be used in the packaging of examination papers.
  • Identify the correct packaging materials to be used in the QPs packaging.
  • Availing a machine maintenance schedule and budget.
  • Spoilage control during packaging
  • Maintaining re-order levels, advise on stock to be reordered
  • Advise on re-stock to be availed.
  • Ensure availability of the right skills for the right job.
  • Supervision of subordinates.
  • Identify training skills gaps and recommend the necessary training
  • Make recommendations on packaging system developments
  • Enforce expected performance objectives.


  • Degree in Production/Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing and Technical or equivalent
  • Certificate/Diploma in General Management
  • Journeyman class 1 advantageous
  • 5 O Level subjects including Mathematics and English
  • 2 A Level Subjects
  • Knowledge of Printing, Finishing & Packaging.
  • 5 Years working experience in the same field
  • Management and supervising skills
  • Project management skills
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of examination entries and product security
  • Ability to understand examination timetables and arranging deliveries based on the examination timetable
