JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the assistant accountant, the purpose of the job is to collect revenue on behalf of the Council.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
THE INCUMBENT SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Selling of products and receiving of funds on behalf of the Council
- Ensure the accuracy of the sales and banking of Council funds
- Production of reconciliations and reports, including the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports
- Compiling of different journals and filing of different documents
- Following up on Council debtors
- Attending to queries from the public on the phone, on email and over the counter
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Any other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Degree in Accountancy.
- Relevant professional qualification is an advantage
- Have at least 2 years working experience.
- Be computer literate with good knowledge of Sun System
