JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within the Council’s operations in line with best practices and regulatory requirements, ensuring the organization operates within acceptable risk parameters.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- A good first degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Professional certifications in Risk Management
- Master’s degree in a related field
- At least 5 (five) years’ experience at Managerial Level
- Thorough understanding of risk management principles and frameworks
- Familiarity with compliance standards and relevant regulatory frameworks
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND ATTRIBUTES
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple risk projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Strong ICT literacy with the ability to use risk management software and tools
