JOB SUMMARY
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Preparation of high-quality tender documents
- Supervises the issuance of tender documents to suppliers
- Assists with managing day-to-day procurement activities
- Ensures compliance with the Public Procurement and Public Assets Disposal Act
- Monitors suppliers’ performance regularly
- Sourcing alternative items for users and customers
- Providing advisory role to the committee
- Conducts market research and recommends best procurement options
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, legislation, corporate governance and international best practice in accordance with the act
- Knowledge of the Electronic Government Procurement system.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Degree in Procurement, Purchasing and Supply or equivalent qualification
- CIPS DIPLOMA or Part qualification is a must
- Membership to a relevant professional board (CIPS or CILT) a must
- Minimum 4 years’ experience of which 2 must be at supervisory level
- Knowledge of Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act and all the relevant Statutes and Regulations
- Candidate must know procurement function
- Must keep abreast with economic trends

- Must have good negotiation and conflict management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Unquestionably integrity
- Computer Literate
